2026年3月17日、イラン映画をオリジナル日本語字幕で届ける配信サイト
Shireen Box（シリーンボックス） を公開しました。Shireen Boxは、日本ではまだ紹介されていない海外映画を、日本語字幕付きで届ける配信サイトです。
ニュースでは伝わらない国の暮らしや人々の姿を、映画を通して届けたい。
そんな思いから、このプロジェクトは始まりました。
イランとの交流から生まれたプロジェクト
Shireen Boxは、20年以上にわたるイランとの市民交流を背景に生まれました。
1994年、市民団体「モーストの会」が設立され、海外医療支援や国際交流活動が始まりました。
特にイランの化学兵器被害者支援や市民交流が長年続けられています。
毎年、イランから毒ガス被害者や映画関係者を広島へ招き、大久野島毒ガス資料館の訪問や、8月6日の広島平和記念式典への参列などを通して、市民レベルの交流が続いてきました。
株式会社クリエ代表の出口は、大学時代にこの活動に参加し、動画記録係としてイランを訪問。
その後も映画のバリアフリー版制作や、イラン映画関係者の広島訪問のサポートなどを行いながら交流を続けてきました。
こうした交流の中で出会った映画や人々の物語を、日本でも届けたいという思いから、Shireen Boxが立ち上がりました。
日本語字幕で届けるイラン映画
イラン映画は世界的に高く評価されていますが、日本では上映機会が限られており、日本語字幕で観られる作品は多くありません。Shireen Boxでは、現地で映画関係者と対話を重ねながら作品を選び、オリジナルの日本語字幕を制作して配信しています。
現在、約15本の映画を公開しており、今後も作品を順次追加していく予定です。映画を通して、イランの人々の暮らしや社会、そして日常の風景を届けていきたいと考えています。
映画を通して、遠い国を近くする
映画には、その国の暮らしや文化、人々の感情が映し出されています。Shireen Boxは、映画を通して、遠い国の出来事を「知らなかった暮らし」として感じてもらえる場所を目指しています。
これからも、まだ日本で紹介されていない映画作品を、日本語字幕で届けていきます。

On March 17, 2026, we launched Shireen Box,
a streaming website dedicated to Iranian cinema with original Japanese subtitles.
Shireen Box introduces Iranian films that have rarely been available in Japan.
Through cinema, we hope to share everyday life, culture, and the voices of people that are often unseen in international news.
A Project Born from Long-Term Cultural Exchange
Shireen Box was created through more than 20 years of cultural exchange with Iran.
Since 1994, civic initiatives have supported international exchange and humanitarian activities, including long-term support for victims of chemical weapons in Iran.
Over the years, Iranian guests—including filmmakers—have visited Hiroshima to participate in cultural and peace-related exchanges. Through these relationships, we encountered many powerful Iranian films that were difficult to access in Japan.
These experiences inspired the creation of Shireen Box.
Making Iranian Films Accessible in Japan
Iranian cinema is widely respected around the world, but many films remain unavailable to Japanese audiences due to the lack of Japanese subtitles.
At Shireen Box, we carefully select films through direct connections with filmmakers and produce original Japanese subtitles, making these works accessible to viewers in Japan.
Currently, around 15 films are available on the platform, and more titles will be added in the future.
Bringing Distant Stories Closer
Films reveal the everyday lives, emotions, and stories of people in different societies.
Through Shireen Box, we hope to bring distant cultures closer and create opportunities for audiences in Japan to discover new perspectives through cinema.
