イラン映画『キツツキ』を鑑賞。主演のサーラー・バフラーミーの演技がとにかく凄絶で、観終わったあともしばらくその余韻から抜け出せませんでした。薬物依存に苦しむ主人公の、生気を失った表情や、泥臭くも切ない母親としての執念。文字通り「命を削って役に向き合った」ことが画面越しにも静かに、重く伝わってきます。綺麗事のないリアルな表現だからこそ、現代社会の抱える痛みが深く心に突き刺さる、見応えのある作品でした。

Just watched the Iranian film Woodpecker (Darkoob). Sara Bahrami’s performance as the lead was profoundly intense, leaving me lost in thought long after the credits rolled.

Her portrayal of a mother struggling with addiction—capturing both her hollow, lifeless expressions and her desperate, raw maternal instinct—was deeply moving. It felt as though she truly poured her soul into this role, facing the harsh reality head-on. Because of her raw and uncompromising performance, the painful issues of modern society hit even harder.
